BrainSTARS turns 10 in June 2014

We are 10 years old! Join us online as well as offline in our celebrations. This is the best time to go ahead and like our facebook page (facebook.com/brainstars) because we are running a super anniversary campaign called ‘Breaking Stereotypes’. Have you as a parent or as a learner or as both shattered stereotypes yourself? Come, share your experiences with us. Let’s make it happen.

In 2004, BrainSTARS started with a dream to transform the complementary processes of teaching and learning science and maths in schools. The specific goal was to enrich a child’s learning in the formative years by using the learning-by-doing approach. The larger goal was to create a society where science could inspire and engage people from all walks of life and open them to a different world of seeing and thinking.

The initial offerings of activity-based programmes in science, maths and skills in various schools and rigorous coaching programmes for higher secondary students, grew and expanded in geography (Bangalore to beyond), audience (students to teachers) and breadth of offerings.

In order to meet the growing demands of a rapidly changing education eco-system, in 2010, BrainSTARS underwent a paradigm shift in terms of strategy to cater to national and overseas markets and meet the diverse needs of young generation of learners/teachers for whom the conventional education system held little or no appeal or promise. Programmes evolved into innovative products which enabled a greater reach.

NumberNagar, our pathbreaking Maths Activity Centre that kicked off in 2012, has been installed in four different states across the country. Infinity, our mathematics kit has reached various schools in rural and urban India as well as in Dubai. We are currently in the process of creating path breaking learning experiences in science and skills. Our long-standing activity programmes in science and skills have gone through major overhauling and we are excited to introduce their new improved avatars in the near future.

Now in 2014, we are proud to say that BrainSTARS is a unique organisation, fostering and nurturing the movement of Science, Maths and Skills education in India.

This series of calendars is conceived by our team and designed by the excellent people at Ladyfingers Co.
